  • D ONE delivered the retailer’s first production-grade AI use case: an AI–driven assortment optimization system. The solution replaced intuition-based product placement with a data-driven approach customized for each store’s profile. A fully integrated, cloud-based pipeline used store-level data, expert insights, customer segmentation and advanced machine learning algorithms to recommend optimal assortments while considering regional constraints. A pilot across 20 test stores validated the approach, achieving a 4–6% net revenue uplift. The rollout re-assorted more than 300 stores and now provides monthly, store-level recommendations driving multi-million annual revenue gains.

  • D ONE supported this client in becoming a data driven bank by co-creating a bankwide data strategy closely aligned with their business vision and strategic initiatives. In a series of structured workshops, business and IT stakeholders defined priorities, data requirements, and key use cases across business insights, predictive analytics, and AI, while assessing trends and ecosystem partners. The project established a value based framework that covers governance, architecture, data management, and analytics, including principles for data quality, privacy and security, platform and cloud strategy, integration of structured and unstructured data, and roles and responsibilities. The result is a concrete, actionable roadmap and operating model that guide future data investments, enable regulatory compliant reuse of data, and provide a foundation for scalable analytics and data driven products.

  • D ONE helped a leading real estate and construction group design and roll out a Microsoft Fabric based data platform as the foundation for data driven decisions. Starting from one pilot use case, the platform integrates data from eight source systems into 70 KPIs and three standard dashboards for 120 users, replacing siloed reports with consistent insights. A structured “Fabric on the Road” program uses key use cases to show value, surface new ideas, and refine the enterprise wide data model, while a Data & Analytics Competence Center, governance blueprints, and learning paths enable self service analytics under central control and accelerate new reporting and analytics products.

  • D ONE designed a streaming-first Football Data Hub that captures key match events and exposes them in near real time to applications, broadcasters and analysts. The solution combines Kafka based streaming, a cloud independent data platform and a shared data model that supports reporting, analytics and future AI use cases. Built in data quality management uses rules and machine learning to flag and correct issues without interrupting data flows. The hub enriches the experience of more than 2 billion viewers and hundreds of thousands of fans in stadiums, enables moderators and TV networks to differentiate with new formats, and improves the game by making advanced analytics and insights globally accessible to clubs and players.

  • D ONE worked with this regional hospital to implement a secure cloud data platform on Microsoft Azure and Databricks as the foundation for analytics, machine learning and research. The lakehouse ingested and consolidated data from core clinical, lab, HR, ERP and ticketing systems into a unified model, with automated pipelines, data quality checks and standardised transformations. The platform architecture used metadata driven orchestration and everything as code to manage storage, compute, environments and deployments, enabling rapid onboarding of new sources and use cases. A masking engine with pseudonymisation, VPNs, private links, encryption and role based access protected patient data in transit, at rest and in use in line with healthcare regulations. This engineering focused setup created a robust, scalable platform for future healthcare analytics, advanced registries and collaborative research with external partners.

  • D ONE works with this insurer to design a Data & AI Platform that extends its existing Azure Databricks based data hub into a foundation for GenAI powered customer interaction. The architecture combines a central knowledge base, lab and factory environments, and agentic workflows to support chat, mail and phone bots that answer questions, route calls, propose email replies and assist call center agents in real time. A phased roadmap from proof of concept to MVP chat and phone bots includes red teaming, load testing and governance so the platform is secure, scalable and avoids vendor lock in while enabling rapid delivery of new AI use cases.

  • D ONE worked with a global metals manufacturer to design an Intelligent Spend Control Tower that consolidated procurement data across plants, vendors and categories into a single analytics ready view. The solution combined ERP and data lake integration with data quality pipelines, AI based item and vendor classification, and dashboards that monitored spend, anomalies and PO and contract compliance for key categories such as MRO, chemicals and packaging. Co creation with procurement, finance, operations and IT in agile sprints targeted more than 5 million USD in savings while establishing shared definitions, benchmarks and planning support. A value based commercial model with variable fees linked to realised savings aligned incentives and positioned the tower as a flagship for data driven cost management.

  • D ONE worked with a major private bank to transform how relationship managers assess the impact of fee changes on revenue. A new pricing application allowed users to simulate any change in fees in milliseconds, cutting analysis time and enabling client conversations with instant, data based insight. Behind the scenes, a central pricing data model brought together all relevant pricing and revenue information into one source of truth for the bank’s Pricing & Revenue team. The project also introduced new ways of working with shorter delivery cycles and closer collaboration between business and analytics, laying the groundwork for an agile pricing and revenue capability.

A modern data warehouse with strong geospatial analytics replaced complex, parallel pipelines and manual updates of municipality changes, cutting operational effort and reducing errors. Starting from a first automated use case, the team set up the cloud infrastructure, defined selection criteria for tools, onboarded analysts and data engineers, and scaled the platform to support further market assessments and reporting products.

  • D ONE worked with this global technology manufacturer to build and scale an AI powered sales and support assistant on a cloud native architecture. Running on Azure with Kubernetes based services, the solution used Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search behind a secure API layer, with infrastructure as code, automated CI/CD, monitoring and adversarial testing to standardise deployments and operations across regions. The assistant started as an internal copilot for agents and evolved into a customer facing chatbot that handled thousands of conversations and resolved around 40 percent of requests. Automated scaling, logging and retraining pipelines reduced manual effort, improved reliability and created a reusable cloud platform for future conversational and analytics use cases.

  • D ONE worked with a Swiss hospital to develop a Hygiene Expert Chat that made specialist infection prevention knowledge available to clinicians around the clock. Using Retrieval Augmented Generation on hospital specific guidelines, physicians could ask questions in natural language and receive answers with direct references to the underlying documents. The solution combined Azure Document AI, ADLS, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI and an App Service based web frontend with integrated PDF viewer. This reduced repetitive requests to hygiene experts, increased adherence to isolation and quarantine procedures, and created a reusable pattern for expert guidance chatbots in clinical settings.

  • D ONE worked with a specialised polymer manufacturer to replace delayed, batch based quality checks with an ML soft sensor that monitors product quality in real time. The model uses live production and historic quality data to trigger targeted alarms in the existing control panels, providing operators with concrete, alarm specific instructions. This setup reduced the share of lower quality output, opened the potential for 20 percent higher quality products and around 30 percent less waste or recycling, with projected financial benefits of 30 to 50 million CHF per year. The solution also created a template for further soft sensor applications in quality assurance and predictive maintenance across other production lines.

  • D ONE worked with an international reinsurer to reduce legal and reputational risks from an LLM based chatbot. Using a semi automated red teaming approach, LLMs were used both to generate challenging test cases and to scale testing to hundreds of scenarios, uncovering biased, harmful or policy violating responses. The team then implemented tailored guardrails and response filters and delivered a reusable Python based red teaming framework so the client could continue to test and harden future releases. This significantly reduced the chatbot’s risk profile and increased confidence in its use with internal and external users.

Using vector embeddings and similarity search on each professional’s historic offers, the solution identified comparable past jobs, generated draft offer texts with GenAI and proposed price ranges based on prior accepted quotes. A phased roadmap from proof of concept to full integration covered data preparation, model refinement for key categories and platform integration, reducing manual effort for handymen and shortening customer waiting times for offers.

  • D ONE ran the data operations for an international sports federation during major international tournaments, ensuring reliable real time delivery of match data to broadcasters, applications and analytics teams. Operations followed an on/off tournament model with ramp up, on tournament and ramp down phases, combining automated monitoring, alerting and failover with a dedicated support team that scaled for up to 50 days of peak demand. Home based and on site engineers handled incident response, performance tuning and change management, while working jointly with the federation’s BI and IT teams in agile sprints to roll out enhancements between match days. This setup kept data services available under strict SLAs, reduced operational risk during flagship events and established a proven runbook for future competitions.

  • A leading Swiss bank partnered with D ONE to define a holistic data strategy and governance model as the foundation for data-driven banking. Through a series of governance-focused workshops, D ONE established roles, data domains, and control processes covering provisioning, cataloging, data quality, access, and ethics.   • To meet the revised requirements of FINMA circular 2023/1 on operational risk and resilience, a Swiss cantonal bank engaged D ONE to operationalize data governance around “critical data.” Based on D ONE’s governance framework, the project introduced a dedicated data governance organization, identified critical data elements, updated internal regulations, and aligned risk and control frameworks. The engagement embedded data quality and data management principles into daily operations, resulting in lean but effective controls and an efficient, risk-oriented implementation of all data-related aspects of the circular.

In a hands-on “Brick by brick” classroom training, 25 users from online betting and retail CRM learned how to navigate the Databricks workspace, build and orchestrate data pipelines, query data with SQL and develop basic ML models. A follow up coaching format with weekly clinics let participants bring real questions from their daily work, reinforcing good practices and helping them deliver their first own pipelines and analyses on the platform.
