Sonali holds a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, where her research focused on multimodal representation learning, foundation models, and deep learning for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. She also earned a Master's degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zurich, specializing in machine learning, computer vision, and probabilistic AI. She is an accomplished Applied AI Scientist with more than eight years of experience designing and deploying advanced machine learning solutions, specializing in multimodal AI, computer vision, generative AI, and foundation models. Prior to joining D ONE, Sonali conducted cutting-edge AI research at ETH Zurich, leading interdisciplinary projects that translated clinical challenges into production-ready machine learning solutions. She also gained industry experience at IBM Research Zurich, where she developed scalable deep learning workflows, optimized large-scale ML inference pipelines, and built robust AI systems for image analysis. Throughout her career, she has published in leading scientific journals, collaborated with international research institutions, and mentored the next generation of AI researchers.
