Simon holds a Doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in Economics, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Konstanz, where he also earned his Master’s degree with distinction and received multiple academic awards. He is an accomplished statistical modeling expert and data scientist with extensive experience building and deploying production-grade predictive models, specialized in econometrics, causal inference, and machine learning. Prior to joining D ONE, he worked as a Senior Data Scientist, overhauling production valuation ML models employed by major Swiss banks and acting as a technical advisor in ISAE 3000 assurance engagements. Earlier in his career, he focused on applied econometrics, hedonic valuation modeling, and real estate finance as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Data Scientist. Simon joined D ONE in 2026.
