Fabian received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) in 2017. After a year, he joined the medical device industry, specifically within the ophthalmology sector, where he started as an algorithms engineer and ended up leading the Clinical Innovation team, resulting in 15 patents and peer-reviewed publications. Notable projects include the development of patient-customized corneal implants, a new technique for laser-based stem cell transplantations, and an improved model for refractive surgery. Fabian has been with the team since 2025.
